In Devon, the Farmers Arms took home gold in the Pub of the Year category. Two businesses in Cornwall and one in Devon also won bronze awards.

Emily Harmon, of the Farmers Arms, said the awards were, "absolutely amazing, it was such a lovely collection of people from all over England celebrating their wins".

Visit England said the awards, which have run for more than 30 years, highlighted the best of England's tourism industry.

The bronze awards were won by Wolf Wood Treehouses, in Devon, in the Self Catering Accommodation of the Year category.

While in Cornwall, Boscastle House won bronze in the B&B and Guest House of the Year category, and Mylor Sailing School took bronze for its Introduction to Sailing experience in the Experience of the Year category.

'Applaud and showcase'

The awards were presented at a ceremony at the Brighton Dome Corn Exchange on Wednesday evening.

There were gold, silver and bronze accolades available to win in 16 core categories, as well as three special awards, including an Outstanding Contribution to Tourism Award, a Travel Content Award and a Tourism Superstar Award.

Visit England director, Andrew Stokes, said: "These annual awards are an opportunity to applaud and showcase the businesses and individuals who provide outstanding customer service and continuously improve their products and offer for visitors."

He congratulated all the 2025 winners and said the "fierce" competition had reflected the "excellence evident across each category".
