England got their Six Nations revenge by defeating Wales 47-14 in an Under-20 World Championship warm-up.

Wales had denied England a first Grand Slam in four years by running out 23-13 winners in the finale of this year's championship, but they could not repeat the heroics at Pontypool Park.

Both sides put out changed starting XVs, with Evan Minto leading Wales and Ben Redshaw captaining England.

England will continue their preparations with a trip to Tbilisi to face Georgia on 14 June while Wales host Italy at Cardiff Arms Park the day before.

The U20 World Championships take place in Italy, with England beginning their title defence against Scotland on Sunday, 29 June, while Wales play Argentina on the same day.
