Southern Brave batter Laurie Evans on missing out on the title again: "I'm gutted to be honest. It is the third year in a row. All credit has to go to Oval Invincibles, they are a great team and have been for the last two years. I don't really know what to say, I'm absolutely gutted. The boys have worked so hard to get here. I'm gutted to be here again.

"This game means a lot. You take pride in what you do and you get yourself out there, so I think it hurts when you miss opportunities or someone is better than you on the day. I felt like we were in a great position but Saqib Mahmood bowled a great spell there. He killed the game for us.

"Trophies are what you as a player, certainly. Unfortunately, I will the ones that I have lost as well - so three in a row hurts."

Oval Invincibles captain Sam Billings: "Amazing. Just a real team effort throughout the tournament, probably even better than last year if I'm honest. It didn't go all our way and that's the strength of the group. A couple of really big turning points, Saqib Mahmood came and changed the game with that set of 10, getting their best wicket out. An amazing game of cricket and it just shows, especially in this format, that a game can change so quickly."

On Saqib Mahmood's set of 10: "It was a huge part of the game. That was a turning point. The James Vince wicket as well was a huge turning point, two quality players. It's amazing because the game just ebbs and flows. We saw the predictor was about 50-50 throughout, even when they were in front, so you knew, especially here at Lord's if you get a couple of wickets, it makes it very difficult to play. It's an amazing feeling, I'm just really proud of the boys."

On celebrations: "There will be a few sore hears in the morning I think, but you deserve it. You realise your career goes past very quickly and these are the nights to really and cherish as a group of mates, as much as colleagues. Winning trophies is what it's all about, even if it wasn't your day with your own skill, everyone has had an impact out there today. Very, very special."

Oval Invincibles bowler Adam Zampa on BBC Two: "It was a funny game. We probably could've got more than we did with the bat but we just wanted to put a decent total on. We wanted to put them under pressure. In their batting, we got a couple of really key wickets and we got those at the right time. It feels good.

"The James Vince wicket was the turning point. He is a big player for them. He seems to win a lot of tournaments and gets it done in the big games, so when we got him out we knew we could put their middle order under pressure.

"I love this tournament. Days like today - the way Lord's put the day on, the women's game before us - it is a really good event."

Oval Invincibles all-rounder Will Jacks on BBC Two: "Buzzing. Amazing feeling. The last five balls when you know you're going to win is an amazing feeling, a great crowd. We worked so hard, absolutely over the moon."

On increasing the score: "Personally I've struggled with runs. The balls have been moving a bit, the bowling attacks are good quality but it doesn't matter, you come to a final and I know what I had to do, it's my role, even if you score no runs, you've got to keep going with the same attitude and I did well today. Could have kept going but it's a good start and it's what we needed."

Another topsy-turvy game but Oval Invincibles come out on top, largely thanks to Saqib Mahmood.

Southern Brave started their chase nicely, getting to 58-0 before losing three quick wickets and then another partnership between Laurie Evans and Leus du Plooy threatened to rebuild.

Enter Mahmood, and the game changed in the space of seven balls.

Handshakes all-round and why not! High-fives and cuddles as well. They are just such a good unit. They fight and scrap. They just know how to get over that line.

They were just too good this evening for Southern Brave. They managed to get a score on the board that was just above par on this tricky wicket and a tricky place to chase as well.

A dominant all-round performance, they outplayed Southern Brave and were expertly led by Sam Billings, who raises both arms in the air and roars in delight behind the stumps.

Jordan Cox, that is nearly magnificent.

He tries to palm a relay catch over the ropes, running at full pace from long-on, but he just treads on the sponge, which gives Craig Overton another six.

Make that 34 from eight, as Dawid Malan dives at cover to prevent a boundary before Overton swings and misses at the next.
